Piece 1,699 – Wild Red Clay Vessel with Layered Ridge Pattern
Couldn't load pickup availability
This handbuilt vessel is shaped from wild red clay, its surface etched with natural ridges and shadowed seams. The body rises with a slow, steady taper, then opens into a rugged rim touched by carbon-darkened highlights. Each layer holds the memory of coiling and pressing — a rhythm of form that's as tactile as it is visual.
This handmade piece is #1,699 in my journey toward 10,000. My hands are 1,699x more familiar with the touch of clay than when I started this project — and each vessel carries a piece of that learning.
