Hey

Thanks for taking the time to check this page out.

A Penny for Your Pottery is a long-term project of 10,000 pieces, each priced one cent higher than the last. The work documents improvement through repetition, explores an alternative pricing model, and keeps collecting accessible at every stage.

I’m Warren. I work with clay, usually in small batches, and my process isn’t especially neat or linear. I tend to follow ideas as they unfold, test things on the fly, and figure out what’s working while I’m in the middle of it.

I’m not great at taking notes, and I don’t try to document everything. A lot of decisions happen by feel. Adjusting as I go, paying attention to what the material is doing rather than what I planned for it to do. Many of the pieces start one way and end up somewhere else entirely.

The pottery comes out of that way of working. Some pieces are the result of intention, others of accident or interruption. I don’t aim for perfect repetition, and I’m comfortable letting variation show.

This site is a snapshot of where the work is right now, not a finished statement.
