Piece 1,698 – Wild Red Clay Vessel with Weathered Rim
Couldn't load pickup availability
Built from wild red clay, this tall vessel balances simplicity with erosion. Its gently weathered rim and textured body create a quiet rhythm of form — soft curves, subtle folds, and earthen fractures that reveal the material's natural character. The surface, though unglazed, shimmers faintly with embedded mineral specks, lending it a sense of understated richness. Each mark, crack, and layer was shaped by hand — no two gestures the same.
This handmade piece is #1,698 in my journey toward 10,000. My hands are 1,698x more familiar with the touch of clay than when I started this project — and each vessel carries a piece of that learning.
